Amunike talks about Kelechi Nwakali’s career

Former African footballer of the year and coach Emmanuel Amunike has spoken again about the ordeals of one of his favorite players, Kelechi Nwakali football career so far.

Nwakali was MVP of the 2015 U17 World Cup in Chile as Nigeria won a record-extending fifth global trophy.

However, his transfer to Arsenal ended without the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles captain ever playing an official game for the London club after loan spells in Holland and Portugal.

In a chat with brila.net, Amunike described Nwakali as a really talented player who is still looking for stability in club football.
“I think Kelechi is a gifted player with the quality he has but, of course, after the world cup he was signed by Arsenal which everybody believes that with his quality and the style of Arsenal kind of football, he would be able to find a way but unfortunately things didn’t work out the way people expected,
“It’s a kind of lesson to him because when success comes a lot of people come around those with good intentions and bad intentions, everybody comes with different ideas, but if you are not able to sit down and analyze things at the end of the day it looks as if you are jumping from one direction to another. “he said.
Nwakali will play with new club Huesca in La Liga in the new season and his former coach Amuneke has said the talented midfielder will bounce back after a really difficult time in his career.
