Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Email Copenhagen forward, Akinkunmi Amoo is set to make a permanent move to Cyprus’ topflight club, Omonia Nicosia. A verbal agreement between both clubs has paved the way for the 21-year-old Amoo’s transfer. The forward has been sidelined for more than a year, with his last appearance for Copenhagen dating back to August 2022 when he played against Lyngby. Unfortunately, he suffered a ruptured knee ligament injury during training, keeping him out of action for nine months. His time with Copenhagen was marred by multiple injuries that limited his playing time. He contributed one goal in four appearances for the Danish club, joining them from Hammarby during the winter transfer window in 2022. Amoo also faced legal issues related to alleged sexual assault charges in Denmark in 2022. If the move materializes, it would mean the young forward would link up with Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho.
