Former Super Eagles forward and Nigeria Football Ambassador Daniel Amokachi has offered Investment advice to current Super Eagles players.
Speaking on Brila FM, Amokachi said the amount of money in circulation for footballers in this era is huge when compared to what it used to be during his playing days.
”If you are opportuned to be a footballer in this generation with the kind of money in the industry – you have no business going bankrupt after your playing days.
”Look at Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi, they all have estates scattered in Abuja and Lagos as their investment, those are players that have plans for their life, he emphasized.
”When I was assisting late Keshi as a coach of the Super eagles, I told some players to invest but they were weren’t listening,”
”I have gone broke and bankrupt before, so if I tell you something, it means I know what i’m talking about, ” Amokachi ended.
Amokachi, a member of the 1994 Super Eagles Team that won the African Nations Cup in Tunisia, was also in the Nigerian Olympic Football Team to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics that won the Gold Medal.
