Emeka Chinoso was the hero, as he scored in stoppage time against host Morocco to send the Flying Eagles to the semi final of the football event of the on going 12th African games in Rabat, Morocco.
Nigeria’s U20 boys, needed at least a point at the FAR Sports Complex Rabat to guaranteed a place in the last four of the games and the Morrocans almost spoil the party, haven led in the most part of the game.
The Flying Eagles fell behind after Morocco profited from some slack defending to allow Mohsinne Abba to head home the opener in the 12th minute.
Nigeria came back strongly towards the close of the first half and were duly rewarded when Ahmad Ghali was brought down in the box and captain Ibrahim Abubakar calmly scored coverted the the spot-kick in the second attempt , after he was asked to retake the initial kick.
The hosts went in front again, this time in the 72nd minutes, but substitute striker Chinonso Emeka turned the game on its head, as he scored the equaliser with just a minute left of regulation time to save Nigeria from elimination.
The Paul Aigbogun’s side as, however, zoomed to the last four with five points from three games.
