El-Kanemi Warriors head coach, Aliyu Zubairu has attributed his team’s hard-fought 4-3 victory over Nasarawa United to intense preparation.
The Borno Army secured the win at the Lafia City Stadium on Saturday, marking a significant achievement for the team.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Zubairu acknowledged the strength of Nasarawa United, a team that had bested them twice last season in the Nigeria National League.
“It’s a very good result for us, we prepared well for them, and we are glad we got a win,” Zubairu stated.
“Nasarawa United are a very good side. We lost to them twice last season in the Nigeria National League.”
El-Kanemi Warriors have collected four points from their first two matches of the new season, reflecting their strong start and the benefits of their thorough preparation.
