Algerian women’s national team coach, Farid Benstiti is looking forward to the upcoming friendly matches against Nigeria, which he sees as a valuable experience for his team.
This will be Benstiti’s first time coaching in Africa, and he’s eager for the challenge.
He praised the Super Falcons as one of the top teams globally, even placing them among the world’s top 15.
“We are very happy to play against Nigeria because it’s one of the best teams in the world. Maybe if you have 15 teams in the world, you can put Nigeria in this group.”
“For us, it’s a big new experience.”
“It will not be easy, but we want to find something hard to be competitive,” he said.
Benstiti, who previously coached Nigerian star Asisat Oshoala in China, recognizes Nigeria’s talent and strength.
“I know some Nigerian players… I know that you have a very, very good team, a strong team. But I want to be competitive.”
