Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi was listed as a substitute in the Europa League final but gave Arsenal fans a glimmer of hope after he scored his first ever Europa league final goal.

The Super Eagles star was introduced in the 68th minute and one minute after he scored what was a consolation goal as Arsenal lost 4-1 to Chelsea.

Alex Iwobi finished with two goals in 18/19 Europa league, he scored his first ever goal in the Europa League on March 6, though the Gunners fell to a 1-3 loss to Rennes in the first leg round of 16 ties.

Despite Arsenal’s loss, the beauty of the Iwobi’s half volley goal was one of the talking points of the final.
