According to reports, 2016 Aiteo Cup winners Akwa United are interested in the signature of Rangers International midfielder Kelvin Itoya.

Itoya joined Rangers from Warri Wolves and has grown to be one of the hottest property in the Nigeria professional football league following his consistent performances in the just concluded season under the watchful eyes of Coach Gbenga Ogunbote.

It’s believed that Akwa United who released about nine players last week have identified the 22-year old as one of their prime target and want to wrap up the deal quickly before the league kick-off in December.

Itoya was instrumental to Rangers success in the 2018 Aiteo Cup as his long range strike sparked the come back for the Flying Antelopes who recovered from three goals deficit to defeat Kano Pillars in Asaba.
