Akwa united Captain Effiong says Promise Keepers want to emerge overall group winner

Captain of Akwa United football club Otobong Effiong has stated that his side intends to finish as overall group winner despite having secured a guaranteed Super six spot which qualifies the team to the next phase of the league season.

Effiong speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the team has had it good to have qualified but do not intend to drop their performance at all.
He said attention no doubt shift to the Super six but also would want to continue their present form by winning games even before the Super Six.
“It’s a great performance that we have qualified in group B, we have everything in hands and now what is remaining is just to go out well for the Super six buy notwithstanding our qualification for the Super six doesn’t mean we will start losing matches.
“We still want to gather point to have the highest point and end as the leader of the two groups.”
Akwa United lost yesterday to Delta Force and strongly hope to bounce back in their next fixture at home to Abia warriors.
