Chuba Akpom continued his incredible run of form in the English Championship, netting for Middlesbrough in the win against Wigan Athletic on Boxing day.
Michael Carrick’s side won the tie 4-1, with Akpom responsible for three of the four goals.

Marcus Forss gave Boro the lead inside 26 minutes, and Akpom added the second in the 49th minute.
He grabbed his brace ten minutes later, only for Thelo Aasgaard to pull one back for the visitors three minutes later.
Akpom completed his perfect hat-trick in added time and left the pitch with the match ball.
The former Arsenal striker took his goal tally to 12 for the season with three goals.
The victory kept Middlesbrough’s surge towards the Championship play-off places.
