Chuba Akpom has expressed his desire to depart from Ajax Amsterdam, following dissatisfaction with his debut season at the club.

Akpom’s move to Ajax last summer, initially estimated at €14.3 million, has failed to meet expectations as the player struggled to secure significant playing time.

Despite Ajax’s battle against relegation, the 28-year-old found himself on the sidelines for much of the campaign.

Statistics reveal the Forward’s limited involvement, with only five league starts and a total of 749 minutes on the field throughout the season.

However, he has made his mark by contributing to ten goals for the Eredivisie champions, netting nine times and providing one assist.

According to reports from Sportswitness UK, Akpom is actively seeking a departure from Ajax during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Potential destinations for the former Arsenal player include Fulham, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest, expressing interest in acquiring his services.
