Nigerian forward Chuba Akpom displayed ambition and hunger for more success after netting twice for Ajax in their commanding 3-1 win against PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie on Sunday.

Akpom’s brace not only secured a crucial victory for Ajax but also fueled their aspirations for the Eredivisie’s European competition play-offs.

Addressing the media in the post-match press conference, the forward expressed his desire for a hat-trick, emphasizing his relentless pursuit of excellence.

“It’s easy to just say two goals. I’m happy but I wanted to get a hat-trick today and I’m hungry,” Akpom remarked, underlining his hunger for more success,” Akpom stated.

“As you could probably see when I play, I thrive off creating chances, scoring goals, something that I dream about and work on every single day. “I am annoyed I didn’t get a hat-trick basically.”

Despite not being a regular starter for Ajax, Chuba Akpom has showcased his scoring prowess by tallying thirteen goals across all competitions for the Amsterdam-based club.
