Akor Adams Set for Sevilla Move, Undergoes Medicals Today

Montpellier forward Jerome Akor Adams is set to arrive in Spain today (Saturday) to undergo medicals ahead of a €5.5 million transfer to Sevilla.

Montpellier and Sevilla have reached an agreement for the 24-year-old striker, as confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

“Akor Adams will land in Sevilla on Saturday in order to join the club from Montpellier for €5.5m transfer fee. Exclusive story, confirmed,” Romano shared.

Adams, a former Flying Eagles forward, has faced a challenging season at Montpellier, managing just three goals and three assist in 16 matches.

This marks a significant decline from his debut season in the French league, where he impressed with ten goals and two assists in 33 matches across all competitions for Montpellier after joining from Norwegian club Lillestrøm.

Despite his recent dip in form, Adams is being touted as a potential replacement for his fellow Nigerian, Kelechi Iheanacho, who is rumored to be on his way out of Sevilla less than a year after joining.

Sevilla, seven-time Europa League champions, have struggled to resolve their goal-scoring woes, with Iheanacho and Isaac Romero falling short of expectations this season.

Should the deal be finalized, Adams could play a key role in bolstering the La Liga side’s attack as they look to turn their season around.
