Akor Adams fired blank as Montpelier suffered a shock 3-1 home defeat against Reims in the French Ligue 1 match at Stade de lo Mosson, on Sunday.

Adams, who has three goals from previous two games was caged by the opposing defence.

He played all the 90 minutes and it was the first time this season, where he failed to score in the league.

Yunis Abdelhamid and Teddy Teuma (brace) scored for the visitors, while Mousa Al-Taamari netted Montpellier’s solitary goal of the encounter.

Next for the Nigerian Forward and his teammates is a tough trip to Lille on September 3, just before the international break.
