Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has signed with Sampdoria on a season-long loan from Inter Milan.

The agreement includes an option for Sampdoria to buy the player, with Inter Milan retaining a buy-back clause.

Akinsanmiro, 19, successfully completed his medical examination on Thursday before finalizing the contract on Friday.

He joined Inter Milan from Nigeria’s Premier Football League club, Remo Stars, in January 2023.

Akinsanmiro made his Serie A debut against Lecce in February 2024.

During the last season, he scored six goals and provided two assists in 25 appearances in the Primavera 1 league.

He contributed to Inter Milan’s victories in both the Coppa Italia and the league title.

At Sampdoria, Akinsanmiro will be under the guidance of coach Andrea Pirlo, where he is expected to further develop his skills and make a significant impact.
