Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has revealed that his decision to join Sampdoria was driven by the opportunity to work with Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo.
Akinsanmiro, 19, signed on loan for Sampdoria from Inter Milan, with an option to make the deal permanent.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Akinsanmiro told Tutto Sampdoria, “I am very happy and excited to be at Sampdoria. I already love the team; the staff are kind, and my teammates have already shown me friendship. They have all been very welcoming.”
Akinsanmiro emphasized his determination to contribute to the team’s success, stating, “I want to work hard, do my best, and help the group. This is the goal for my season.”
Highlighting his reasons for choosing Sampdoria, he added, “First of all, I chose Sampdoria because they’re a great club and represent a great opportunity for me.”
The midfielder also noted the significant role that Andrea Pirlo played in his decision.
