Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade has been named Atletico Madrid Women’s Player of the Season for 2023/24 after an incredible performance throughout the campaign.

Atletico Madrid finished 3rd in the league, their best placement in three years, trailing only behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The 24-year-old star scored 10 goals and provided eight assists for Atletico Madrid in the just-concluded season.

She was also instrumental in securing a 1-0 victory against Villarreal on the final day, scoring the decisive goal that ensured qualification for next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League preliminary round.

Ajibade is set to join the Super Falcons for the Olympic Games in July in Paris after the team secured qualification for the first time in 16 years.

She played a crucial role, scoring the only goal in the 1-0 aggregate win against the African champions to secure the qualification.
