Rasheedat Ajibade once again proved her worth, scoring a vital goal for Spanish top-flight team Atletico Madrid on Friday.

The goal guided Atletico to a 3-1 triumph over Levante Las Planas, marking a significant step towards securing a spot in the lucrative UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL).

Atletico Madrid took the lead early in the game, with Marta Cardona netting the opener in the ninth minute.

However, Levante Las Planas fought back, leveling the score line in the 39th minute through Laura Martinez.

The second half saw Atletico Madrid regain their advantage, as Garcia Gabriela set up Perez Xenia for a goal in the 48th minute.

With the momentum swinging in their favor, Ajibade sealed the victory for her team in the 61st minute, notching her ninth goal of the season in 28 league appearances.

Alongside her impressive goal-scoring record this season, Ajibade has also contributed six assists.

With just two games left in the league, Atletico Madrid currently occupies the third and final Champions League spot with 57 points.
