Nigeria forward, Junior Ajayi is reportedly the fourth best-paid player on the continent of Africa.
The Super Eagles forward was listed in the fourth position in the list of Africa’s highest-paid home-based players with an annual wages of $771,000 at Al Ahly of Egypt.
The former Shooting Stars of Ibadan forward is behind Ferjani Sassi ($1.3m per year at Zamalek), Mohamed Awad ($1m at Zamalek), Ahmed Fathi ($989k at Pyramids) and Ajayi ($771k) on the list.
Ajayi arrived at the Egyptian side for a deal in the region of $2million from Tunisian side, CS Sfaxien, but he signed a new deal that will keep him until 2022.
Since joining the club Ajayi has helped the club win two Egyptian Premier League titles 2016-17 and 2017-18 campaigns and he has scored five goals and provided three assists in 12 games this campaign.
