In a boost for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Semi Ajayi have been declared fit for the upcoming fixture against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.

Both players participated in the Super Eagles’ final training session on Sunday night, indicating their readiness for Monday’s crucial match at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium.

Dele-Bashiru scored Nigeria’s only goal in the draw against South Africa last Friday.

However, he was substituted in the 61st minute due to an injury and replaced by Alhassan Yusuf.

Meanwhile, centre-back Ajayi also sustained a knock, leaving the pitch ten minutes from time. He was substituted by Raphael Onyedika.

With their recovery, Dele-Bashiru and Ajayi are set to strengthen Nigeria’s squad as the team aims for a vital victory later today.
