Ajagba Ranked Top Five, Anthony Joshua Leads Heavyweight Division

Following Tyson Fury’s loss to Oleksandr Usyk in the unified heavyweight title fight last month, the sanctioning bodies have ranked Anthony Joshua ahead of his fellow Brit in the June WBC heavyweight rankings.

Joshua was named the number one contender, with former champion Fury second.

Agit Kabayel retains his position at third despite beating Frank Sanchez, who was previously second, on the undercard of the Fury-Usyk fight.

While Fury suffered a massive defeat to the Ukrainian boxer, Anthony Joshua recorded successive victories against Francis Ngannou and Otto Wallin.

Nigerian heavyweight boxer Efe Ajagba completes the top five list thanks to the WBC ‘silver’ belt he is currently holding.

Fury is now back in the gym six months out from the clash, and has vowed to rewrite his name in the history books.

“Listen up! I’ve conquered everything in boxing – titles, records, the lot. But I’ve never had to come back from a loss,” he stated on social media.
