Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Ayenugba has okayed the performance of Hapoel Jerusalem of Israel shot stopper Adebayo Adeleye in goal for Nigeria despite conceding twice against the Leone stars on his debut for Nigeria in a game that saw the Eagles needing a stoppage time winner to edge Sierra Leone 3-2 at the Samuel Kayon For stadium in Monrovia, Liberia.
Ayenugba speaking in a chat with www.brila.net stressed that the goalkeeper gave a good account of himself and can’t be blamed for the two goals conceded.
He added that Adeleye should be handed more opportunity in goal for the Super Eagles by the national team handler Jose Pesieiro.
