World Champion, Tobi Amusan has been suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit.
The AIU, Wednesday, confirmed the suspension via its official website.
Amusan was added to the long list of the athletes provisionally suspended by the body, becoming the third Nigerian on the list.
“The AIU has today charged and provisionally suspended Tobi Amusan (NGR) for 3 Whereabouts Failures.
“The Charge will be heard by the Disciplinary Tribunal and determined before the World Athletics Championships.
“In this section of the site, we list the Provisional Suspensions currently in force. Some of these cases remain under investigation, while others are the subject of a notice of charge and so will also appear on the list of Pending First Instance cases.”
“In doping cases, a Provisional Suspension is mandatory under the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules following an adverse analytical finding for any non-specified substance,” the statement reads.
