Ola Aina scored his maiden Premier League goal for Nottingham Forest in their 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday.
Aina, who recently returned to fitness, was making his eight appearance for Nottingham Forest this season.
His compatriot, Taiwo Awoniyi was also involved in the game playing from the start, with the striker leading the attack.
But it was Aina who opened the scoring with a powerful long shot found the back of the net after five
minutes of play.
Nottingham Forest continued to dominate the first half and extended their lead just after halftime when Orel Mangala’s long drive beat Emiliano Martinez.
Awoniyi was unable to add to his three goals and was substituted in the 82nd minute for Danilo.
This defeat ended Aston Villa’s six-match unbeaten streak and placed them in fifth position, five points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Nottingham Forest also achieved their first clean sheet at home this season, moving up to 12th place in the standings.
