England and Premier League legend, Allan Shearer has praised Ola Aina for his performance at Anfield on Saturday.

Aina was one of the standout stars for Nottingham Forest in their shocking 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

The Nigerian defender made four successful tackles, completed 25 passes, and cleared a goal-bound effort off the line, denying Luiz Diaz in the first half.

“Part of a fine defensive display from Forest, Aina kept the in-form Luis Diaz quiet, which is no mean feat,” Shearer said about the 26-year-old’s performance.

Ola Aina’s performance also earned him a place in the Premier League Team of the Week, put together by the Premier League legend.
