Is Paul Aigbogun NPFL rusty already?
Aigbogun’s return to Enyimba has not shot off the block as he would have hope after his side, disappointingly, finished bottom of group A in the NPFL Invitational 2017.
The seven-time League champions welcomed back the tactian after a year’s hiatus following a disppointing campaign the season prior.
He was allowed to see out his contract and nothing fresh was offered as the Aba Elephants ended up without a silverware and finished the season with no hope of continental football.
So, perhaps in his third spell at the club the Coach would have hoped to make a strong impression at the “Super 6” – not his best pre season tourney by the way ask Warri Wolves fans.
Not only did his side finosh bottom of the ethree team table, they failed to win a game; socred just a goal and conceded two.
It’s still some time before the season gets under way but with recent uninspiring happenings at the club – allowing Gbenga Ogunbote leave – Aigbogun will be keen to find the right answers to get the Elephant back on the road.
