Kano Pillars secured a 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars, with Ahmed Musa netting both goals in their Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 5 encounter, on Sunday.
Musa opened the scoring for the home side just five minutes into the game.
The forward then doubled Pillars’ lead six minutes after half-time, sealing the club’s first win in four league outings.

In another NPFL fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Rivers United triumphed 2-1 over Akwa United.
Stephen Manyo gave the hosts the lead in the 32nd minute with his second goal of the season.
However, Akwa United equalized just one minute into the second half through Friday Apollos.
Rivers United clinched the win when Ndifreke Effiong found the back of the net five minutes before the final whistle.
