Ah dey vex! Udeze calls out Nigerian players for failing to bag any CAF Award

Former Super Eagles defender Ifeanyi Udeze has called out Super Eagles and Nigerian players in general after failing to bag a single honour in Tuesday Night’s CAF Awards in Dakar, Senegal.

Udeze who is a pundit on Sports Radio Brila FM was revealing his frustration earlier today while responding to ‘Tony Bekederemo’s questions while on air.

“I dey vex! Udeze said.

“It is sad because No single Nigerian could even make the Team of the year”.

“It shows our players are not doing enough, the former West Brom defender added.

“Our guys seem to be interested in wages and salaries only”, you need awards and honours to help your career.

Udeze who was listed alongside some Super Eagles stars in the 2002 Team of the year said Nigerian players should work harder and get themselves a place among those receiving honours.

“Salah is earning well, Aubameyang is also earning a big salary, yet these guys are working hard. What is the problem with our players?, the former PAOK skipper asks angrily.

Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohammed Salah was named the best African player for the second time running while Sadio Mane and Gabonese forward Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang were runners up.
