Former Nigeria international Julius Aghahowa has called on Nigerian players to up their game at their respective clubs ahead of the new league football season so as to become valuable players at club level and also translates such improved performance to good outing at the national level.Â
Aghahowa speaking in a chat with www.brila.net urged the players to work harder to improve themselves stressing that personal improvement will be key in anything they do which would also translates to improved offer at club level and more market value during the transfer window.
“Well firstly they have to concentrate on improving themselves before thinking of moving to the big leagues. Personal improvement is key.
They need to do more, they need to work hard more. This is the time for players to switch from national team to club football. You need to do very well with your club during preseason. Have regular shirt in your club so that you can improve well.”
