Aghahowa hails Osimhen, backs Eagles for AFCON title

Former Eagles forward Julius Aghahowa says Victor Osimhen has scored a big achievement and that the APOTY award has crowned his efforts.

Speaking on Brila FM, the former Wigan striker believes Osimhen has an elite mentality, one worthy of being copied by his teammates at the AFCON.

Meanwhile, the super eagles leadership submitted a preliminary 55 man squad a few days ago and Aghahowa had words concerning the scheduling as camp is set to open on the 2nd of January whilst the coach has to submit a final list of 27 men on the 3rd of January.

With that inbound headache, Aghahowa believes that the technical crew will be crucial to the selection as the coach would not be able to fully handle all that chaos. But the preliminary list is believed to be advantageous as to give the coach a wide pool to choose from and it helps ‘ease selection’.

Finally, the former 2002 World Cup star is backing the Super Eagles to do it again in Ivory Coast believing that the boys are ready.
