Aghahowa asks what Peseiro brings to the Table

Former Nigeria FW Julius Aghahowa said the Super Eagles need an identity and this should be the first task of the new head Coach Jose Peseiro.

Peseiro will lead the Super Eagles out for the first time, when they take on Mexico and Ecuador in Friendly games billed for United State later this month and in June.

Speaking on the appointment of the Portuguese and his expectations, Aghahowa insists, the results from exhibition games don’t matter as much, but expects to see an all round improve performance from the squad.

He maintains that Jose Peseiro must use the games to create identity and formation for his team.

“I’m not interested in the results, we just want to see good formation, good football and what the players can do in the final third,” said the former Forward who was capped 34 times by Nigeria.

“We have players who can create chances at the moment, and we haven’t been able to use their talents to our advantage. So this is What I want to see from the new coach.”

“Players moving the ball quickly, full backs attacking spaces and making crosses for the strikers to score,” He concluded.
