Roberto Calenda, agent of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, has refuted claims about his client’s rumored loan move to Chelsea.
The Athletic reported on Tuesday that Chelsea was negotiating a loan deal for Osimhen with an option to buy.
Additionally, Belgium international Romelu Lukaku was speculated to join Napoli permanently as part of the arrangement.
Gianluca Di Marzio had previously clarified the situation, stating that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis would reject any loan proposal for Osimhen.
Calenda has now reinforced Di Marzio’s statement, asserting that there are no loan discussions involving Chelsea.
“I read about ‘fantasy exchanges’ with Victor… as if he was a package to be delivered quickly,” Calenda wrote on X.
“This package is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in the history of Napoli. Respect and stop fake news!”
Osimhen is reportedly interested in leaving Napoli this summer, and the club is open to negotiations with potential buyers.
The forward signed a new five-year deal last season.
