African Nations Championship: Nigeria Drawn Against Ghana in Qualifiers

Nigeria’s Super Eagles B have been drawn to face arch-rivals Ghana in the second round of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

The draw held on Wednesday, and sets up another intense clash between the West African neighbors.

Ghana will host the first leg between December 20-22, before traveling to Nigeria for the second leg a week later.

The aggregate winner over the two legs will secure a spot in the tournament, which is reserved for players in African domestic leagues.

The 2024 CHAN tournament will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Ghana denied Nigeria a spot in the previous edition of the tournament.

After a 0-0 draw in Kumasi, the Ghanaians won in Abuja, winning the return leg via a penalty shootout at the MKO Abiola Stadium.
