Team Nigeria seized victory in the final of the 4x400m relay race at the African Games on Friday.

The quartet comprising Esther Elo Joseph, Patience Okon-George, Brittany Ogunmokun, and Omolara Ogunmakinju raced to the gold medal, dominating with a remarkable lead of over 40 meters.

Facing formidable opponents, Nigeria’s relay team left Zambia trailing behind, securing second place with a national record of 3:31.85.

Meanwhile, Botswana clinched third place with a time of 3:33.44.
