Mercy Genesis claimed the first gold in the women’s 50kg freestyle, overpowering Egyptian wrestler Nada Mohammed with a flawless performance, securing victory 7-0.

 

Not to be outdone, Christiana Ogunsanya showcased her prowess in the 53kg division, delivering a one-sided dominance by defeating Ivorian opponent Bakayoko 11-0, securing Nigeria’s second gold medal.

Adekuoroye Odunayo, a three-time Commonwealth champion, exhibited her prowess by defeating Zineb Hassoune in just 24 seconds, securing the third gold medal for Nigeria in the 57kg finals.
