Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has secured the first gold medal for Nigeria at the African Senior Athletics Championships in Douala, with a record-breaking performance in the men’s shot put.
Enekwechi set a new Championship Record with a throw of 21.20 meters.
The victory earned him a third consecutive African Championship title in the event, having won at the events held in Asaba and Morocco.
The Nigerian shot out star has now won a third African Athletics Championships gold medal.
