Former assistant coach of the Nigeria Athletics federation ( AFN ) , Brown Ebewele has blamed the failure of Nigerian athletes in major championships on the federation.

Ebewele noted that despite its rich pool of talents in Nigeria no major achievement has been recorded at the international stage in a very long time.

He said there aren’t enough qualified Coaches on the federation’s payroll, who can properly hon the those talents.

The former national coach knocked the AFN for its “lack of courage” to design a developmental program that caters for the appointment of credible coaches and top trainers.
