The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has put in place comprehensive preparations for Nigerian athletes ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

This was revealed by AFN Secretary Rita Mosindi, who hailed the quality of the training facilities at the team’s foreign camp in Germany.

Mosindi commended the collaborative efforts of the Sports ministry and the German government in providing a world-class facility for the athletes.

“It’s been an amazing experience to be here. This facility is a world-class facility where you have everything within the same place. You have the hostel, you have the courts, you have the indoor and the track, you have the outdoor,” Mosindi stated.

“Our athletes are coming up enjoying every bit of it, especially when it comes to the weights, the weight training. It’s been really helpful to them and all this within the same environment, even with the ice bath. An athlete finishes training, he goes to have an ice bath. It’s really amazing. It’s been a wonderful experience for our athletes.”

With such robust preparations, the AFN is confident and assures the nation that the Nigerian athletes will perform well at the upcoming Olympic Games.
