Former Super Eagles player Mutiu Adepoju has stated that the seeding of countries that will be used in the draw procedure to conduct the draws for the 2019 AFCON will no matter ahead of today’s draws.
Adepoju speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the composition of countries in Pot 1 and 2 is clear enough indication that the seeding of teams in the Pots will not matter other than how the team intends to go about their preparation for the tournament proper.
“My own opinion it won’t matter, what we can do at every game is what matter irrespective of whoever we’re meeting. We might before now be saying we’re trying to avoid teams in Pot 1 but other teams in Pot 2 are as important as  Pot 1.
“We just have to prepare very well without minding which group we are or who we’re playing.”
Nigeria have been seeded in Pot 1 alongside host nation Egypt, defending champions Cameroon, Senegal, Tunisia and Morocco.
