Super Eagles head Coach, Jose Peseiro exempted two home players, Ebube Duru and Devine Nwachukwu, from the team’s first training session on Monday.

Peseiro decided to give the players rest after playing five matches in eight days with their respective clubs in the Niigeria Premier League Super 6 Playoffs.

Nwachukwu featured in Bendel Insurance’s defeat to Remo Stars, while Duru played a part in Rivers United 1-1 draw against Enyimba.

Meanwhile, goalkeepers Ojo Olorunleke and Victor Sochima were involved in Monday’s session.

Nineteen players trained under the watchful eyes of the Portuguese and his assistants at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

The three times African Champions will face Sierra Leone on June 18.
