Ahead of their AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda, eight Super Eagles players have arrived at the team camp in Abidjan.
The squad will face Benin in the first game, before taking on Rwanda in the final two games of the qualifiers, with additional players expected to join soon as preparations are set to begin.
Among those already in camp are AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze and Nantes forward Moses Simon.
Players Currently in Camp:
Amas Obasogie, Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Moses Simon, Bruno Onyemaechi, Samuel Chukwueze, Gabriel Osho, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
Players Expected to Arrive Soon:
Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi, Alhassan Yusuf, Wilfred Ndidi, Victor Collins, Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Boniface, and Umar Sadiq.
In their previous encounter, the Super Eagles defeated Benin 3-0 in Uyo, with two goals from Ademola Lookman and one from fan favorite Victor Osimhen.
However, Nigeria will not be underestimating Benin, who previously pulled off a surprise upset against Nigeria during the World Cup qualifiers.
Despite only needing a point from the two remaining matches to secure qualification for the 2025 tournament in Morocco, the Super Eagles are focused on delivering a strong performance in the upcoming games.
