Eight players have arrived the Super Eagles camp in Abidjan ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and among the early arrivals is Gabriel Osho who makes his first camp appearance.
Osho got a second Super Eagles invitation having pulled out of an earlier invite in March, due to injury.
The CB, who plays for Auxerre in Ligue Un, replaced the injured Semi Ajayi, and is in contention to gt his first cap.
Meanwhile, other players who have checked in early to camp are Moses Simon, Amas Obasogie, Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Bruno Onyemeachi, Samuel Chukwueze and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
According to the team’s officials, more players are expected in tonight and there’ll be the compliment of a full camp by Tuesday.
Interim head coach, Austin Eguavoen invited 23 players for the games against Bénin Republic and Rwanda.
Whilst Nigeria is a point away from securing qualification for next year’s AFCON, the result could also we’ll guarantee their top place finish in group D.
On November 14, Bénin Republic hosts Nigeria at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, in the second leg tie.
Four days later Nigeria returns home for the final game of their qualifying series where they’ll face Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Int’l Stadium, Uyo.
