Israel “Style Bender” Adesanya is set to make his highly anticipated return to the octagon in a middleweight title fight against Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia.

This will be 34 year-old’s first bout since losing the UFC title to Sean Strickland last September.

Du Plessis, who won the middleweight title from Strickland in January, will be defending his belt for the first time.

The South African fighter has a record of 21 wins and 2 losses, while Adesanya holds a record of 24 wins and 3 losses.

Adesanya previously reigned as the middleweight champion from 2019 until he was defeated by Alex Pereira.

However, he regained the title five months later. A victory over du Plessis would make Adesanya the first three-time middleweight champion in UFC history.
