Adepoju urge Rohr to continue with invitation of players on performance after Iheanacho’s return

Former Nigeria international Mutiu Adepoju has urged coach Gernot Rohr to continue his invitation of players on performance following the return of Leicester city forward Kelechi Iheanacho to the Super Eagles.

Adepoju speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said he supports the idea of the coach in ensuring players called up merit their sports in the team.
He added that Iheanacho’s invitation is spot on like wise his exclusion while he was not enjoying playing time and that now that the player is back playing, his invitation is a fully deserved one.
“It’s based on his performance lately in his club and I think it’s a good thing that when he was not performing in his club he was dropped and now that he is back and doing very well, it’s only right for him to be invited and continue playing.
“I think it’s a good development. If you’re performing week in week out in your club, that’s when you’re going to be seen that you’re in good form and you’re performing.”
