Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman is determined to deliver a top performance for his team when they face Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.
Lookman, who ended Atalanta’s 51-year trophy drought with a remarkable hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final last May, is gearing up for another historic night, this time in Warsaw.
Despite being the underdogs once again, Lookman and his teammates are ready to take on Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded Real Madrid squad, featuring new signings Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr.
“These are the games you dream about as a child, and now the moment has come,” Lookman told Tribal Football.
“We won the Europa League, and now we’re playing for another trophy. We can’t wait; we are preparing with obsessive attention. So yes, we will be ready!”
The Nigerian international added that facing Real Madrid doesn’t require additional motivation. “We don’t need great motivation.
“We will face the greatest team in the world, and it’s an appointment with history. It’s an exciting chapter, an exciting opportunity for everyone.”
Ademola Lookman was named Atalanta’s 2023-2024 best player after scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions.
He was also included in the Europa League Team of the Season.
