Defender Adekunle Adeleke has revealed the reasons behind Enyimba’s incredible start to the 2021-2022 football season under new head coach, Finidi George.

Finidi George replaced Fatai Osho at the helm of affairs and has settled down quickly to his new environment in Aba.

The former Nigerian international has guided Enyimba to five victories out of five games in all competitions, including derby wins over Rangers International of Enugu and Abia Warriors in Nigeria Professional Football League.

In a chat with brila.net, Adekunle explained how Finidi George is getting the best out of the players on the pitch.

“He’s making sure, we work hard in training and we also have very good relationship with him, so that’s why we are always willing to play for him”, he told brila.net.

“He gives everybody the same opportunity in training and once you impressed in training, you will definitely make the team for games. So that, increased the competition in the team.”

The record Nigerian Champions are one of the team with 100 percent records in two weeks old 2021-2022 Nigerian Professional Football League Season.

However, they sit second on the table, behind Remo Stars, although goal difference is the only thing seperating both teams.

On their target, Adeleke said the aim is to win the title at the end of season but maintain they have to keep working harder.

“Enyimba is a team that always want to win , they don’t want any other thing, but victory, So the target is to win the league this season” the He concluded.
