Adarabioyo Sparks Speculation of Super Eagles Future

Chelsea’s new signing Tosin Adarabioyo has ignited speculation after a picture of him wearing a Super Eagles jacket went viral on the Social media app, X – formerly Twitter.

The former Fulham defender, born in London to Nigerian parents, has represented England at junior levels.

Adarabioyo made his first appearance in national team colors in November 2012 at the age of 15 when he was called up to the England under-16 squad for the first time.

Despite his involvement with England’s youth teams, Adarabioyo has yet to make his senior debut for the Three Lions, leaving him eligible to represent Nigeria through descent.

According to reports he turned down an approach by the Nigeria Football Federation to play for the Super Eagles.

However, in 2020, he expressed a desire to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, leaving the door open for a potential call-up from either England or Nigeria.

The 26-year-old centre-back is known for his speed, aerial strength, and ability to advance the ball from the back, qualities praised by his former Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola.
