Nigerian striker, Akor Adams was in action for Montpelier at the weekend during their Ligue 1 encounter against Lille.

Adams was on the losing side as his team Montpellier fell 1-0 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Montpelier were outplayed and the Nigerian with his teammates almost didn’t have a sniff at goal for the entire duration.

He started the season like house on fire, scoring three time in two games, but has now failed to find the back of the net in his last two matches.

Subsequently, Adams was subbed off at the hour mark, after completing just three of five passes attempted.

He failed to win four ground duels he contested, had no shots on target, and lost possession several times.

Lille won the game courtesy of an early goal from Turkish midfielder, Yusuf Yazici.

The Turkish wing back netted a direct free kick in the second minute which proved crucial.

Montpellier will now go into international break with four points from possible twelve.
