AC Milan shock Bayern Munich in 4-0 pre-season Win

AC Milan played like a team possessed as they pounded Bayern Munich 4-0 in a pre season friendly on Saturday at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre, China.

Milan have been on a spending spree this summer transfer window as the new Owners seek a resurgence of the Rossoneri.

The Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux have  invested about €200million in transfers fees this summer alone.

Former Milan Boss, Carlo Ancelotti named a strong XI, with the likes of Matt Hummels, David Alaba, Javi Martinez, Franck Ribéry and Robert Lewandowski all starting for the Bavarians.

Vincenzo Montella on the other hand started only four of the 11 players who have either joined outright or on loan this summer.

Any other day, this would have been a huge fixture, but for Milan’s slump in the last couple of seasons.

But it did not deter them though, as a matter of fact, it seemed to swell their confidence.

The Red and Black stripes opened scoring on 14 minutes when Ivory Coast’s, Franck Kessié – on loan from Atalanta – beat 17-year-old Christian Fruchtl in goal for Bayern.

Next it was 19-year-old Striker, Patrick Cutrone who stepped forward, netting a brace in the 25th and 43rd minutes to give Milan a 3-0 first half lead.

The final goal of the match was scored by summer arrival, Hakan Çalhanoğlu on 85 minutes.
