Abia Warriors into top 10 after nervy win over Plateau United

Abia Warriors Football Club beat Plateau United 2-1 at the Okigwe township Stadium on Monday to end 2020-2021 Nigeria professional football league first stanza on a good note.

Plateau United’s woes were compounded a few minutes later when goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye was stretchered off due to injury.

Plateau United pressed for an equalizer in the second half but Abia Warriors held on to their slim advantage until the center referee blew the whistle to end proceedings.
